The Credit Policy Admin works independently to create and maintain a formal database that defines guidelines, credit bulletin updates, policies, procedures, and related best practices for the organization

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creates and maintains database for communication and delivery in an on-line format.
  • Consult with various departments and with senior management to ensure all credit policy documentation is up to date.
  • Works with various business leaders to identify credit policy and procedure priorities.
  • Researches, monitors and drafts comprehensive guideline and credit bulletin updates as needed.
  • Obtains necessary approvals.
  • Updates existing policy and procedure materials as they relate to credit policy.
  • Implements and maintains a user-friendly database.
  • Coordinates with the training group to ensure training materials are updated with the most recent credit policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned


  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Exceptional English composition, grammar and writing skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, must also be 18 years or older.
  • Sound judgment, ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions, determine the downstream impact of decisions and associated risks.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  • Demonstrate patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values.
  • Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel required
